Frequently asked questions
What is The Public Record?
It's a static, citation-first archive explorer for the publicly released record of the Jeffrey Epstein case — court records, government reports, regulatory orders, congressional releases, and the 2025 Epstein Files Transparency Act production. Every entry is labeled by verification level (Adjudicated, Official Record, Reported, Allegation, or Unverified) and cites where the underlying record lives. It is a research and education tool, not a game, and it draws no conclusions.
Does this site host the actual documents?
No. The DOJ File Index links directly to justice.gov — files are served by the Department of Justice and are never copied here. Each link opens on justice.gov behind the DOJ's own age-verification gate. Other entries cite primary sources like CourtListener, congress.gov, and the FBI Vault, which you can open yourself to read the record.
Why isn't there a "people network" or connections board?
Connection-mapping interfaces visually imply that association equals complicity. The public record names hundreds of people for reasons ranging from victimhood to a single passing mention. Exactly two people have been criminally convicted in this matter, and this archive will not imply otherwise about anyone. We show events and documents, not insinuation. See the Methodology tab on the home page for the full reasoning.
I found an entry that conflicts with a primary source. How do I report it?
Primary sources always win. Email us at support@cloutfinder.com with the entry and a link or citation to the conflicting source, and we'll review and correct it. We respond within 48 hours.
Do you collect my data or use trackers?
No. The core archive runs entirely in your browser with no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no network calls of its own. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I view it on my phone, or export a video?
The site is mobile-friendly — just open it in any browser. Presenter Mode generates vertical 9:16 cards and can export them as MP4/WebM for social video, with no screen-capture software required. If something doesn't render, email us with your device and browser and we'll help.
